Spiritual awakening

Welcome to this article, my friend. Instant manifestation sounds like a cool thing, right? But what does that even mean? Does it mean materializing anything you can imagine with a mere thought?

It might be, but who has made you believe that there is anything material *wink wink*?

If you’ve spent some time in the manifestation and law of attraction scene and are slightly fed up with it, but still are willing to take this to a deeper understanding, then you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve spent quite a few years digging through the manifestation space with the goal of making reality my bitch. Well, actually, if anything, reality has made me her bitch in the past. It took me a while to recognize that we have this mutual co-creative thing going.

Even if we’re not all accomplished yogis who create castles at the mere thought of it (as much of the spiritual literature claims), we’re all capable of instant manifestation.

But when I say instant manifestation I mean manifesting what you really want. And although you might fervently disagree with me, you never wanted the castle, the lover, or the petting zoo full of Flamingos.

What you want is something much simpler and more readily available.

What You Really Want

What you really want

For a moment, think about what you think you want in life. What’s your biggest desire right now?

Let me guess, it’s something along the lines of financial freedom, perfect partner, dreamhouse, fulfilling career, success in whatever. This is all fine and well but what is behind that?

What do you hope to get from all these things?

What you want, what any of us always wants, is the emotion-feeling that comes with the fulfillment of our desires. It’s never about the things you want but about what you hope they’ll make you feel.

Here is a simple thought experiment you can try:

Imagine that all your desires are fulfilled right now, but instead of feeling all the fancy blissful emotions, you hoped you’d feel, you feel absolutely miserable. In fact, you’re so miserable, that you’re considering ending your life.

Now, would you still want all the things you desire if you knew with certainty that it’ll make you deeply depressed?

If you say, “Yes, I still want all my desires,” then there are two things happening here.

1. In your mind, you have exchanged happiness (or freedom, or peace, or love, etc. it’s all a synonym here) with things. You have convinced yourself that any inner satisfaction will only come with the fulfillment of egoic desires.

2. You haven’t experienced proper psycho-spiritual suffering. If you’d had a good dance with depression and deep existential despair, you knew that this is the last thing you want. No amount of petting zoo Flamingos would be worth the pain. But still, existential despair is not something we can avoid forever because it’s a key point of the spiritual journey.

True happiness or any other emotion you’ve called the ultimate state of well-being can’t be conditional. If it’s bound to conditions, it’s bound to lead to suffering.

So, this is the first step to mastering instant manifestation. You have to be radically honest with yourself and see what you really want. And then, you have to see how what you really want is standing in the shadow of what you think you really want (what your ego wants).

Only when you decide that happiness (or freedom, or peace, or love, or whatever) is what you really want and that you’ll no longer bind it to any conditions, then you’re ready to take the next step to instantly manifest.

The How-to of Instant Manifestation

Alright, now that you’re clear about what you want, you can reach out and get it.

This is how we do it:

1. Get clear on the emotion-feeling you desire and ask yourself what this feels like (you might want to remember a time when you felt that emotion).

2. Ask yourself with sincerity what is standing in the way between you and this emotion-feeling. (Hint: It’ll be most likely the thing you think you need to feel that feeling, like the house, the lover, or the petting zoo full of Flamingos)

3. Recognize that every emotion-feeling is an internal thing. Even if something triggers it, it’s still happening inside. What this means is that you can always access it.

4. Now simply allow the emotion-feeling to arise naturally. Recognize everything that wants to get in the way—thoughts and other emotions—and let them pass by. It sounds all too simple to be true, but in essence, it’s really simple.

5. Sit with the emotion-feeling for a few minutes. Don’t force it. Don’t hold on to it. Keep a soft awareness on it.

This is a practice you can do regularly, even if it’s just for two minutes, to get acquainted with your desired emotion-feeling state. In time, you’ll program your subconscious mind to regard this as your default state and your nervous system will get used to it.

Although this is already a powerful thing to do and kind of the instant manifestation bit, the real work doesn’t stop here.

The On-Going Work

The on-going work

The real work you have to do to reach any amount of lasting happiness (or freedom, or… I think you get the gist) is severing the bonds of attachments. You have to see how your emotions glue you to the things that are standing between you and unconditional well-being.

You know as well as I do that emotions don’t last. So, any amount of lasting happiness is not found in transient emotional states.

This then is the step where you ditch everything we’ve talked about before and go beyond emotional states.

For this, you need to shine the focused light of awareness on your emotional attachments. By doing so you’ll understand them and when you understand them, they’ll no longer have any power over you.

This will most likely be uncomfortable because what you think you are is nothing but attachments. So this will be like cutting away pieces of yourself. But it will also be liberating because you’ll see how much suffering these attachments have caused in your life.

When you’re free from attachments, life will be as fluid as a cat. You know how sometimes when you want to pet a cat how it morphs around your hand? Yeah, cats are definitely fluid.

Anyway, what I’m saying is to get to this fluid way of life, you need to cut away attachments and aversions (which are just the other side of the coin).

And the final attachment/aversion is the attachment to life a.k.a aversion to death. So, it’s useful to get deeply in touch with the grim reaper.

Seeing Through Your Self

Another point that’s like a shortcut is the recognition that there is no separate entity you call ‘I’.

Many people claim it takes years of spiritual practice to free yourself from the ego. But the irony is that there is nothing to free yourself from because there is no ego as a concrete separate entity.

All you need to do is to look at the places where you expect a thinker, feeler, controller, decider, chooser, etc., to be. This is nothing mystical or otherwise extraordinary.

You simply look at what is. And what is, is not what you think is.

When you, for instance, feel something, can you draw a clear line between feeler, feeling, and sensation?

You can’t because this trifecta is artificial. It doesn’t exist. Feeler, feeling, and sensation are one and the same.

But please, don’t just believe me. Look for yourself.

You can do this with all sensations, thoughts, and other content of your experience. Seeing is nothing but colors, smelling is nothing but smells, hearing is nothing but sounds, thinking is nothing but thoughts, etc.

Again, all you need for this is your own direct experience. No knowledge, wisdom, or practice is necessary.

Master of the Universe

Master of the universe

The last bit might’ve not been what you expected when you clicked on an article about instant manifestation. You could even say that I baited you into this. But for good reason.

The obsession with trying to control the world around us and clinging to how we expect things to be is a sure way to suffering.

This obsession comes from believing that we are separate individual selves inside a world that we need to manipulate to our liking. But what if the ‘I’ was out of the way and you’d see that there is no separation anywhere?

That’s my invitation here.

Forget your desires and manifestations just for a moment and give your full attention and focus to what is in this moment. Dump your knowledge and beliefs about what is. You already know too much. Look at it with fresh new eyes.

Knowing what you are not is a natural path to knowing what you are. And when you know that, everything will be different. You’ll know with absolute certainty not that inner and outer are one but that there is no inner and outer.

Your surroundings are just an extension of what you are. So, why would you try hard to make anything happen?

But of course, don’t believe this. Look at your experience and come to know this. Knowing is a different paradigm from believing.

Eventually, you’ll be in a state where no matter what happens, you’ll fully accept it. And, paradoxically, when you accept everything (note: this is not the same as allowing people to walk over you), your authentic desires will start to fulfill themselves through the path of least resistance.

When you’ve come that far though, your desires will most likely have shifted as all the inauthentic stuff has started falling away.

When you’re integrated with the flow of life, you’re the master of the universe. And that’s when you see that instant manifestation is not an exception but the norm.
